Good Ol’ Pasadena

Today is a pretty good day despite the fact that it’s Friday the 13th. I love hanging out at Old Pasadena. Good food, good shopping, and lots of beautiful people. What more can you ask for? The food at the Cheese Cake Factory are pricey but very delicious. I had the best shrimp pasta that I have ever tasted.

I am both impressed and disappointed with the movie, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. The computer graphics are simply mind-blowing. The skin texture looks so real, you can even see the veins and winkles.

The storyline needs a few more revisions. At the end of the movie, I was like “Huh? What? It’s over already? You call that an ending?” The movie has a strong resemblance to their Final Fantasy 7 PSX game: meteor, lifestream, gaia. In fact, the ending sequence looks like the ending scene of FF7 where Holy emerges.

Gran Turismo 3

My little brother picked up his Gran Turismo 3: A-Spec game that we had reserved for over three months. The graphics are so photo-realistic. I am so amazed by the processing power of the PS2’s Emotion graphics chip. He sure is making full use of the PS2 whereas I am only using it as a DVD player.

Summer, The Sequel

The first summer session has ended and the second session has begun. Anthropology seems like an interesting class. There will be new people to meet, love, and hate. Maybe I’ll make some new friends to hang out with. I missed the chance to click with my Biology classmates.

Just a few more days till the release of Final Fantasy. This will be a good month. I’m counting the days till MacWorld NY. Hopefully Apple will release the Puma build of Mac OS X. I’m disappointed with the current state of Mac OS X.
