This is a K2 Style as seen on my site. It has been modified to work with the current K2 SVN and K2 Beta Two r167. Included are some Photoshop files to customize the header, menu tabs, navigation background and rolling archive slider.
This style has also been graciously ported to Binary Blue by CountZero. Thanks!

Dude that’s a sweet lookin header, and I am liking this theme you got going. Definitely worth a download. Thanks for the sickness.
Hi steve. tx for your k2 style. really like it. tx
You are so generous.
Thank you so much. Continue working!
Stupid question I am sure but here goes. I really like the theme and appreciate your sharing – my question is how do I get my Flickr photos in the footer?
Nice k2 style Steve
downloaded it, will try it soon
Hey, awesome job Stev. Hope you would mind me looking at your code so I can find what I need for my blog. Anyway, keep up the good work…
First off, very slick looking layout. I’ve downloaded it but can’t seem to get it to install correctly on my wordpress.
I’ve uploaded the “True Blue” folder that was in the zip file but I get an error saying that the stylesheet is missing but I know it’s there. Am I missing something?
Chris, you need to use k2 from svn. I’ll release a version for r167 this weekend.
Steve, it’s a wicked theme and I’ve just put it up on my blog.
IE6 is disagreeing with it slightly though, there’s a blue bit on the side of the header which I think is the original header showing through (screenshot: http://flickr.com/photos/kartlink/124620965/) Is there anything I can do about it? 75% of my readers are on IE damn them
I think I’ve sorted the transparency issues though
Thanks for the reply Steve. I was unaware of the fact that you had to be using the SVN in order to use the theme. I look forward to being able to download the r167 compatible when you release it.
I can’t wait to use this for r167. It’s very kind of you to release such a simple yet very powerful and well designed them for the public to use.
I’m really looking forward to the r167 version. So you will really release it this weekend?
This theme is AWSOME!
Thanks again for that fabulous style, Steve. Could you please provide some info on the needed plugins? I have installed Rolling Archives but it doesn’t seem to work – somehow the layout is broke (especially in Opera, FF is fine but the slider doesn’t work there). http://mathias.circularcausality.de
I love the theme, but when I activate the Rolling Asides Plug-In, my feed icons in the sidebar shift up to the line above – anyone else experiencing this?
Disregard above question – I corrected it in the rolling-asides.css file. Again, thanks for the beautiful theme.
oh,no!my footer?????????????

<p>Gorgeous scheme. Many thanks for making it public. Am using it currently, esp love the header…</p>
<p>Great and lovely style, really. I love it!
Do you mind me porting and publishing it as a new scheme for Binary Blue as well? Currently I only ported it as one of the schemes for my own blog, but I suppose there’ll be many users out there who’d love this scheme as well ;)</p>
<p>Hello Steve.
I am Japanese, and the theme of this site is used.
It thinks use by a wonderful theme to be glad.
After that, to Mr. timothy.
I use flickrRSSPlugin, and add at footer partial.
< ?php get_flickrrss(); ?> just behind < small > .
To arrange the photograph in a horizontal, the column of Before/After should be made an empty column with flickrRSS of options.
I am looking forward to the thing that a wonderful theme will be released in the future though I am not good at English.
I am sorry in poor English.</p>
leo: I must’ve missed that. It’s fixed now in 1.2.
CountZero: Sure thing!
<p>Hey Steve,
I am using true blue 1.2 in my blog but the rolling archives is not working.
Help needed!
thanx</p>
<p>vesy nice,thanks…:)</p>
<p>A guy ripped your work off and is trying to take credit for it:</p>
<p>http://www.4null4.de/wordpress-binary-blue-theme/</p>
<p>I don’t really know who’s been copying who but I’ve seen this theme all over the net with different people taking credit for making it.</p>
<p>Not quite the same theme tho, I’ve tried both. His is more like a fork of K2 rather a rip off a theme.</p>
<p><em>Jesse</em>: I gave him permission to port it to the Binary Blue theme.</p>
<p>Love this theme, but I just noticed my sidebar in IE disappears. Weird thing is, it only disappears on the <a href=“http://djkaye.illusivecreations.com” rel=“nofollow”>index</a> page and not on pages like </p>
<p>http://djkaye.illusivecreations.com/2006/04/15/sql-injection-in-php-solution/</p>
<p>Any suggestions would be pretty welcome</p>
<p>never mind, figured it out.. IE didn’t like the larger images in my posts, those pushed the side bar down… lovely work</p>
<p>And I am <strong>not</strong> taking credit for it! When do these silly bastards learn to read? It’s now only <strong>one</strong> of <strong>over a dozen</strong> different <strong>schemes</strong>. But these silly jerks just prefer to blame others without any single evidence, instead of read their pages to understand that credit is given to whom credit belongs!</p>
<p>Hey love the theme! But wondered how do i get the Grey bar at the top to sroll threw the different pages? That looks cool but dont no if it is a plugin or what :S
Anyone know?
Thanks</p>
<p>Dont Worry
Updated to one of the nightly builds and its there in K2 options
wickd thanks!!</p>
<p>I have K2 r167. My blog name does not reflect in the water like yours does in your header. It’s just plain. How do I make it do that? Do I need photoshop?</p>
<p>I also didn’t know what to do with the folder _MACOSX. I have trueblue listed in my directory as follows:</p>
<p>I put the trueblue_rs167.css file under K2\styles.
I then made a folder under K2\styles called trueblue where I put your css, icons and image folders (and their contents) as well as your trueblue.css.</p>
<p>Ok, I just realized that the MACOSX folder is for the Mac Os. Duh.</p>
<p>I still don’t know how to get the reflection of the blogname in the water in the header image to work.</p>
<p><em>Luckynkl:</em> you’re going to need to use photoshop for the mirror look.</p>
<p>This is more of a generic wordpress question, but how do I keep the font-set of the original K2 default stylesheet, while using your theme?</p>
<p>Eric: You need to edit trueblue.css and remove the following lines:</p>
<p>body {
font-size: 75%; /* Sets font size to 12px */ <— remove this line</p>
<p>h1, h2, h3, h4 {
font-family: Georgia, ‘Times New Roman’, serif; <— remove</p>
<p>Thanks Stevo. I know just enoughto be dangerous…</p>
<p>Ok, what about changing the font for the 167 CSS?</p>
<p>NM, I figured it out. Thanks for the great theme.</p>
<p>This is what i was looking for! It looks good on my page :)</p>
<p>Bug report: Tumbnails aligned on the left jump to the right on the old posts (i uploaded them using the Image Manager plugin)
ex: http://marcusoliveira.com/2006/04/07/vitimizacao/
and editing it doesnt seem to make any difference…</p>
<p>This is an awesome theme Steve! I just had a quick question though, is there a way to get those nice date boxes on my site like the ones on yours?</p>
I added instructions for making those date boxes.
<p>This is one of the best k2 schemes ever viewed by my eyes. I wish I could make my countinue reading links look like that.</p>
good work steveo! but i got two little problems: a white space stand between the header and the content. how can i delete it? and your live archive mod don’t work for me…
(see: http://jacknife.japstudio.it)
I would have loved this theme in 3 column one.
Please keep this request.
jacknife: Looks like a problem with the style and widgets. I’ll have to look into that.
Abhinav: I’ll might consider it. What would go on the third column?
hehe, if it’s alright with you, just for kicks, i tried my best to copy the exact same theme on your website, just to see if i could
sadly, i dont think i can
been trying to get the same rounded edges you have, then photoshop the header
not working out. could you offer a few tips? or email me the config/image files you have so i could browse through the code n see what i’m not doing right?
thanks a bunch, and the theme is superb
– Nick
ps. glad i found your blog. was considering buying a macbook pro but after reading about the hissing & heat problem, dodgy decision now >
Nick: I’m going to release 1.3 during the beginning of June.
There’s still some bugs to fix and features to add.
sweet. will be looking forward to that. i noticed the True Blue 1.3α1 at the bottom of the page
was meaning to ask about that.
Very, very cool style. Even more with the Photoshop sources.
Many, many thanks Steve !
Does anyone know how to make the primary column 50 px wider? I managed to do that by setting the primary width div in the trueblue_r167.css to 500px, but then my sidebar doesn’t fit inside the remaining space that’s available for the secondary column, and is subsequently placed under the primary column. How can I make the entire page 50 px wider?
Love your k2 scheme, thanx a lot for sharing it !
I’ve got a question though : I’ve got long posts but quite a short sidebar, so I’d like to recover the lost space on the right. How to manage that ? I tried some “float : right” but can’t make it work…
hey,
First of all, love the theme. Secondly, I’m new to blogging and code and was wondering if someone could tell me how to get the photoshop things to work…Thanks
boy what a lovely style.
i’m experiencing the same problem as jacknife though, unfortunately.
there’s a stand over between header and footer.
also, the framing of that part is missing in ff but not ie.
thanks for your support.
aah, it got fixed when i checked “use fixed width”. sorry. i had thought i tried that already.
lol, this is becoming a painful wait for the True Blue 1.3α1 to come out
hahaha, i keep referring back here every 1-2 days without any luck
Hey, I installed your theme, its great however there is a slight problem.
Between the content section and the header
(ie, just above the slider and under the header)
There is a big white area that shouldn’t be there and I have no idea how to remove it.
If you have a look at my test site http://www.zacrifice.com/press you will instantly see it.
It works perfectly in IE without any spacing just not in firefox.
If someone can tell me how to fix it or at least where to look can you let me know?
Ben: Yeah. I noticed that. Oh well.
I’ll release 1.3 soon. It’s going to be a full mod based on K2 r344. Exactly what you see on my site.
I love Your theme too. I did a little mod on it to have 3 columns at the bottom of the page. You can have a look at it at http://www.kobak.org .
Thanks and I’m looking forward to the fix of the annoying white line too, so I can update my k2 to the latest svn. :-))
look forward to the 1.3 release. Very nice. Beautifu.
Hi,
your blog is amazing. I have to visit it again.
