New Beginnings

I have been reading through the blog archives. I realized that nothing has changed much. I’m still depressed. There may be moments of happiness, but they’re few and far between, scattered in a dark sea of sorrow. I’m so close and happiness is within reach but I’m too afraid to take the next step. I worry too much of what people think. I feel so ashamed when they look at me.

Goodbye .mac

During MacWorld 2000, Apple launched iTools. The service came with an email account with a mac.com domain and 20MB of internet storage. Yay! All this was for free? Awesome! So stevelam@mac.com was born. That has been my primary email address since that day.

Happy 20th Anniversary, Macintosh

Twenty years ago today, Apple Computer introduced the Macintosh and the world of computing has never been the same ever since.

I bought my first mac on December 13th, 1994. It was a Performa 575 with a 68LC040 33 MHz cpu, 8 MB RAM, and a 250 MB hard drive. It was powered with System 7.5 with cooperative multi-tasking. Bootcamp

I wrote this a few years back about my experiences at bootcamp. I’ll have more stories to tell about bootcamp later.

Honor

The thing that I loved and hated about the military was that when someone in your division messes up, the whole division gets reprimanded. They try to teach us to look out for each other: our shipmates. All for one; One for all. Because when you’re out to sea or at war, your very life is dependent in the hands of the people next to you, and vice versa.
