Clear Skys

It’s a beautiful day.

It’s a nice sunny day today. After a couple days of dark gloomy clouds, it was nice change. Looks like it’s back to the usual So. Cal. weather. Everything is so clear today. Walking out of my class, I was in awe by great view of the beautiful snow covered mountains. I’m definitely going snowboarding this weekend. I haven’t used my board yet. It’s been sitting there for the past season. I just hope my car can make it. It’s been smoking lately, ever since I overheated it by driving with the second gear. Oh well. Mountain High or bust.

Bindings

My bindings, K2 Clicker SST, arrived today. It was a good deal for $75. All I need now are clicker-compatible boots and some boarder pants. I still haven’t found anyone to take me to Mountain High this Monday. Sigh, I guess I’ll be working on my birthday. It’s amazing. I’m going to be 25. Twenty five. Has it been that long? I’m surprised to have survived this long. When I was in high school, my future looked bleak. When I thought about the future, all I could see was a deep abyss of darkness. Now I see a faint glow in the far distance. Hope.

My First Snowboard

Yahoo! I purchased my first snowboard today from REI!!! After careful consideration, I chose a K2 Spitfire. Boy am I going to get nagged by my mom. My mother thinks that I wasted my money on a piece of wood. She just doesn’t understand. You can’t put a price on happiness.

First Winter Storm

Sum 41 performed on Saturday Night Live and Blink 182 was on MadTV. What a good night of television. =)

Heavy rain poured down on Southern California. At some places, streets were flooded, roofs buckled and came crashing down. Toward the east, the welcoming storm brought much-needed fresh powder. Tomorrow, Mountain High will open its doors for the season. Let’s hit the slopes. I’m stoked! Anyone want to drop me off at Mountain High? I’ll pay for gas. =)

Let It Snow

Winter is not coming quick enough for me. All year long I have been waiting for winter to come. Snowboarding has become my passion, my obsession. This is one expensive sport but it’s well worth it. I’m looking forward to purchasing my first snowboard this season, a Salomon Transfer 154. When I’m up on the slopes, I forget about how my crappy my life is, there’s nothing there but me and the snow. Snowboarding is truly blissful.
